International PhD-workshop in the histories of education: International histories and transnational analyses, Örebro University, November 29-30, 2017. Organizers: Christian Lundahl and Johannes Westberg. Program>>

The purpose of this year’s workshop is to allow the PhD-students to place their study in an international field, either by making international comparisons or transnational analyses, or by relating their specific study to the international line of research.

International PhD-workshop in the histories of education: Methods and Materials, Örebro University, November 22-23, 2018. Organizers: Christian Lundahl and Johannes Westberg.

The theme for this year’s workshop will be Methods and Materials. Since historians of education only can study traces from the past, and not the past “in itself”, methods and source materials are vital to the historian’s professional competence. Although the truth does not lie hidden in the archives, (at least) part of the truth about a historian lies in his or her ability to understand and work with source materials.
