1. PÅMINNELSE INFÖR JUL: NORDISKA UTBILDNINGSHISTORISKA KONFERENSEN (UPPSALA)
Vi är glada och tacksamma över det stora intresset som visats för den kommande Sjätte nordiska utbildningshistoriska konferensen, 20-21 augusti 2015, och vill passa på att påminna nätverkets läsare om att fortsätta förberedelsen med att formulera abstracts till papers eller sessioner.
Konferensens hålls på de skandinaviska språken och engelska, och konferensen kommer att få karaktären av Nordic Open, det vill säga även deltagare från utomnordiska länder är välkomna.
Sessionsförslag skall lämnas via konferensens hemsida senast 15 januari 2015. Sessionsförslag ska innehålla en kort rubrik, ett abstract om minst 1000 och max 3000 tecken (inkl. mellanslag), namn på minst 3 presentatörer och rubriker för presentationerna. Varje session omfattar 90 minuter. Antagna sessioner annonseras på konferensens hemsida, senast den 15 februari 2015. (Efter det att en session är anmäld kan även de som skall delta i sessionen med paper logga in och lägga upp en titel och abstract.)

4. CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: FASS-SANDIN PRIZE FOR BEST ARTICLE
Call for Nominations: Fass-Sandin Prize for the best articles (in Danish, Norwegian and Swedish) on the History of Children and Youth published in 2012, 2013, and 2014. (Nomination for Fass-Sandin Prize for the best article in French and German will to be announced in 2016 and in Italian and Spanish in 2017 covering the three previous years.)
The Society for the History of Children and Youth (SHCY) is pleased to call for nominations for the best article in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish on the history of children, childhood, or youth (broadly construed) published in 2012, 2013, and 2014 in a print or online journal. The SHCY will grant two awards. The prizes consists of a plaque and a check for $250. The winners will be announced at the SHCY conference in Vancouver 2015. Authors will be informed of the award prior to the conference, and it will be announced on the website. Nominations are invited from publishers, editors, scholars, and authors. Eligibility for the awards is based solely on the language in which the article is published, not on the residence or nationality of the author. Current members of the SHCY award committee, the executive committee, and officers of the society are ineligible.
Send a PDF or photocopy of the article to the chair of the prize committee, Bengt Sandin at Bengt.Sandin@liu.se. The deadline for nominations is March 1st, 2015. The other members of the committee are Ning de Conink Smith, and Ellen Schrumpf.
5. 2015 SYMPOSIUM OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL MUSEUMS AND COLLECTIONS
The theme of the Symposium is ‘Learning Through History’. It will offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the 1850s Australian gold rushes as well as taking part in presentations and discussion forums. The program will comprise keynote speakers and forums designed for history teachers, university lecturers and museum directors. It will take the form of short presentations followed by time for discussion. In addition, you will participate in practical activities around the museum such as the gold pour, panning for real gold and underground mine tours. Excursions around Ballarat will also be included in the registration fee. The program details are on this website. They outline a rich and diverse range of sessions and activities.
